Be Your Dream, in conjunction with Lifeline, visited Marais Viljoen High School on Tuesday, July 29. Magda Schmidt and Cornel Wagner were awarded with bursaries for 2016, allowing them to study at a tertiary institution of their choice.
Be Your Dream, in conjunction with Lifeline, handed over bursaries at Marais Viljoen.
ALBERTON – The Be Your Dream bursary scheme was initiated by the South African Artist Anais.
“This project was formed with the sole intention of inspiring and allowing young members of society to strive for and achieve their dreams no matter their circumstances,” the organisers of the Be Your Dream project explain.
Not only did Magda and Cornel walk away with a bursary, the rest of the school had the opportunity to enjoy a performance by Anais, her band and guest artist Gerhard Steyn.
Anais is the National ambassador of Lifeline, and together with her band she visits schools across South Africa as a part of her Be Your Dream outreach project.
During these school shows she informs the learners about Lifeline and teaches them the toll free number that they can phone whenever they feel they are in need of help or assistance.
The Be Your Dream project is centred on improving emotional wellness within the youth, as well as encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
Anais will continue to use her project to reach out and help those in need in whatever way she can.
