Afrikaans singer, songwriter, founder and presenter of Be Your Dream on KykNet NOU, and SA ambassador for LoveLine, thought she was at Silverstar to watch a movie with Maurice and some of their friends on the evening of 24 November.

To her incredible surprise, her fiance Maurice Loois, who had spent months planning a romantic and unique engagement, asked her to be his wife.

The couple and their friends entered the Movies@ Silverstar Cinema which began with a series of movie trailers.

Maurice then excused himself, while Anaïs, continued to watch the screen. After the trailers, a music video that he specifically composed for her with her band, played.

While she tried to figure out what was happening, their family and friends walked in, singing along.

Maurice was the last person to walk in, dressed to suit the occasion and proposed to her.

When the couple had rejoiced in the moment and composed themselves, Anaïs changed into a beautiful, sophisticated dress before the couple, along with friends and family, moved to Publicity Bar and Grill to celebrate.

Lois planned the proposal with the assistance of the Be Your Dream Project, Silverstar Casino, Eden Moon Productions, Publicity Bar & Grill, and Rhino Water. The soon-to-be Mrs Lois’ stylish engagement ring was sponsored by Francois Jewellers and her dress by Wilma du Plessis Designers.
